Ram Gopal Varma has announced that he would direct a comedy film in Telugu, soon. He hasn’t directed a Telugu film since 1999, Prema Katha being his last. After almost 11 years, he’s making a big comeback in Telugu with a film titled ‘Katha Screenplay Darsakatvam: Appalaraju’ with Sunil as the lead hero.
The film’s title which means ‘Story Screenplay Direction : Appalaraju’ in English, is a black comedy on film industry. The film narrates the story of Appalaraju from Amalapuram, who’s crazy about films. He comes to Hyderabad with a dream of becoming a popular film director.
The film is going to be a hilarious take on the struggles one has to go through to make a film. RGV is currently wrapping up his trilingual film Raktha Charitra which has Vivek Oberoi and Suriya in lead roles. Both the parts of Raktha Charithra are going to release in September. His new film with Sunil will go on floors after the completion of Raktha Charithra. Meanwhile, Sunil will soon be seen in Maryada Ramanna, an S S Rajamouli’s film. The film is set to release on July 23. It’s been a long time since RGV has done a comedy film and his latest film with Sunil in lead role comes as a big surprise. The rest of the cast and crew is yet to be revealed.
